Italy’s finest trance export Alessandra Roncone has enthralled the industry with her euphoric releases on a number of prolific labels. In the 90’s she started her journey with music and later she pursued a career in an industry that is in her blood. It was in the year 2017 when she grabbed the spotlight with the release of an uplifting masterpiece titled “Sogno” on Aly & Fila’s FSOE which climbed the Beatport Trance chart quickly and grabbed the 3rd position. Her tune titled ‘The Hymn’ was awarded as “Tune Of The Week” at ASOT and also pressed by Armin van Buuren on the official ” ASOT 850″ compilation.

Alessandra has stunned the audiences across the globe with performances at major festivals including Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, EDC Mexico, UNTOLD, Dreamstate & many more. Continuing her tryst with music, Alessandra has become a force to reckon with. We had an amazing chat with the Italian trance stalwart!

Hello Alessandra, how are you doing?

Hi, lockdown a part, that has been very hard to accept to me at the beginning, now I’m doing well thank you!

Recently you dropped a euphoric single called ‘Trust In Your Self’ on FSOE, can you share a bit about the process/story behind it?

In every track, I make I always try to spread emotions with my music and I always try to choose the right title for what is inspiring me to make a track because there is always a story behind a track. “Trust in yourself” is made as motivation, to give strength and courage to carry on what we are doing and we love. Because it’s easy to have bad days, that days that are easier to see dark, thinking that what we are doing is not worth, or maybe we doubt about our ability because very self-critical with our self, but most of the time is only inside to our head, and we just need to trust in your self more and never give up.

Back in August last year, you delivered a stellar b2b performance with Allen Watts for the closing set of UNTOLD Trance stage, How did you prepare for it?

To play at the Untold Festival to me was unbelievable. I loved it so much!! We closed the night and the crowd was there till the end, and I really appreciated that because that, they asked us to play some more tunes ☺ , To be honest, we didn’t plan it. We just decided on the first track and follow the flow. But few minutes before the set we changed plan about the first track because Christina was there and she agreed to come on stage to sing her collab with Alle, so I can say that we totally improvised our set and the feedbacks from the crowd have been amazing

Taking you into the flashback, how did the release of “Sogno” on FSOE recordings which grabbed the 3rd place on the Beatport Trance Chart impact your career?

I can say that Sogno has been the track that gave a big boost to my career.  Aly & Fila played it at ASOT 800 (I didn’t expect the play), I was dancing on stage and when I heard that was my track I couldn’t describe the feeling I had. It was really a dream to me and even if  “old” is still one of my preferred of mine.

Growing up in which electronic acts inspired, how did they?

I fell in love with trance in 1995 with Robert Miles –Children, and it was love at first listen.. then I always went dancing to clubs in Italy where trance was played. My preferred artists back on that time were Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Paul Van Dyk & Ferry Corsten. the Trance Pioneers basically. They have been absolutely my inspiration.

What is your dream collaboration with & why?

There are many artists that to me are legend and that I take inspiration from
If I can mention 3 names that always been on my top 5 I would say
Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila, and Giuseppe Ottaviani.

Paul Van Dyk because as I said he always been a legend to me since 90’s and I loved many tunes of him, and his last album has many magical tunes.

Aly & Fila because I’m a big fan since 2010, I love their music and I released on FSOE already 10 tracks so it would be amazing me to make a collab.

And Giuseppe Ottaviani, same… I’m a big fan of him since the first 2000’s when he was releasing as Nu- Energy, I love his new sound and because I’m patriotic, being both Italians, it would be a 100% Italian’s collab.

To collaborate with one of those legends it would be like crowning a dream to me.

Any special message for your fans reading this right now?

I want to say to all my fans that I miss a lot to play for them and that I can’t wait that this crazy situation of Covid-19 will end so we can come back to the party with our loved music very soon.Be strong and stay safe!!Love You, Ale x
