“Tijs Michiel Verwest” better known as “Tiesto”, the one true Trance lord who is inspiration to many of the young producers, is celebrating his 48th birthday today.
We still remember back in the days of 2009, when “Tiesto” performed at “Queensday, Museumplein” in Amsterdam, people were chanting slogans like
“Long Live The Queen”
“Long Live The SOUNDS OF TIESTO”.

Well, if you see, the journey of “THE SOUNDS OF TIESTO” has been really a long one and its amazing to see him transitioning from “Trance” to “House” and to “Deep House” now.
We are already running short of words, phrases, slangs, sentences when we try to praise this Master of Sounds, but yes “WHEREVER HE GOES, HE LEAVES MARK”.
Team EDMLI is really really inspired from his sounds, we love the old Tiesto and we love the new Tiesto as well 🙂
Therefore, on his birthday we would like to take you on a magical journey of some really awesome tracks which really defines “SOUNDS OF TIESTO”.
NOTE : The order in which these track appears has nothing to do with any kind of ratings/rankings, its just the way we put it without any intentions :), so NO OFFENCES…
Before beginning TWO minutes of silence for all those who doesn’t grew up listening to sounds like these but claim themselves as Trance fans / maniacs..
15) This one very unusual and different from what Tiesto’s productions are, but we kind of like it, in fact really like it, those amazing sounds, synths, beats, melodies and of course vocals.
Tiesto – Sweet Misery.

14) Taken from one of his concerts from “Gelredome” in Amsterdam, back in the days of 2004.
In breakdown you can hear sounds slightly inspired from “Opera”.
Tiesto – Magical Circus.

13) Around 4-5 years ago, Tiesto made this track when he already moved to House, and a lot of people claimed that he is returning to his “Trance Roots”.
Tiesto feat. Disco Fries – iTrance

12) Taken again from that 2004 Gelredome’s concert in Amsterdam, and as the name suggests beats and melodies of this one is nothing but pure gold.
Tiesto – Goldrush(DJ Montana Remix)

11) In 2008, Tiesto produced theme track for “Alone In The Dark” (survival horror video game series).
Did you knew that ?? 🙂  ðŸ™‚
Tiesto presents Alone In The Dark – Edward Carnby

10) Taken from his “Elements of Life” album, this one used to be the opening track of many of his sets. And really as the name suggests, if you can really feel it, you can exactly feel the moments right before sunrise.
A visual representation just by audio, what a masterpiece this is.
Tiesto – Ten Seconds Before Sunrise

9) How many of you know about “Vimana”??
“Tiesto” and “Ferry Corsten” joined hands together to create this beautiful track.
Vimana – We Came.

8) This track saw many remixes, mashups and bootlegs, but for us, this version is the most energetic one. Energy of this one is simply can’t described in words, it can only be felt.
Live electronic violin by Mason won hearts of millions around the world, and we still remember when we first saw this, had goosebumps from head to toe.
Taken from Gelredome concert in 2004.
Tiesto – Lethal Industry

7) For this one “Armin van Buuren” & “Tiesto” joined hands together for “Alibi”.

6) Taken from his album “Elements of Life”, track features vocals by “Charlotte Martin” and amazing melodies by the man himself.
Tiesto ft. Charlotte Martin – Sweet Things.

5) Time for some Old School trance, taken from one of his early compilations, Magik 1 First Flight.
Tiesto – Long Way Home

4) “Kamaya Painters” was a joint project by “Tiesto” & “Benno De Goeij” (from Rank1).
This duo gave many hits and beautiful masterpieces like this.
Kamaya Painters – Northern Spirit.

3) Taken from his album “In My Memory”, melodies and beats of this one is always different from what we call “SOUNDS OF TIESTO”, and that’s the best part, every track differs from the other, that’s why we call him “MASTER OF SOUNDS”.
Tiesto ft. Junky XL – Obsession.

2) “Kamaya Painters” back again, taken from Magik 6 – Live In Amsterdam.
Very very powerful beats are good enough to wipe you off your feet completely.
Kamaya Painters – Wasteland.

1) “Gouryella”, a project which came back to life after almost 13 years in 2015.
It was a joint project by “Ferry Corsten” & “Tiesto”.
“Tiesto”, before leaving “Gouryella” produced several tracks onto this project along with “Ferry Corsten”, and we must admit, it was a club destroyer and still it is.
Gouryella – Gouryella

BONUS TRACK..
This one, “Tiesto” used to close his sets many times in many of the concerts.
Also, as per voting in one of the polls, this one is crowned as

“GREATEST TRANCE TRACK OF ALL TIMES”
Delerium ft. Sarah Mclachlan – Silence (Tiesto’s In Search Of Sunrise Remix)
