“Bangarang,”was Skrillex’s  fourth EP, which was released digitally in December. This EP was mostly a collection of 7 songs. The EP featured  collaborations with The Doors, Sirah, Wolfgang Gartner, 12th Planet, Kill the Noise and Ellie Goulding. Musically, Bangarang has multiple influences of electro house, dubstep and progressive house, while also incorporating elements of trance, drum and bass, rap rock, experimental rock .

You can hear that on the “Bangarang” EP more than on any other Skrillex release. The opening stutters of “Right In” owe a debt to the dance-floor euphoria of Daft Punk, but Skrillex’s signature bass starts convulsing before the song even reaches the 30-second mark. “Breakn a Sweat” is a more patient, less aggressive tune — but it might be because Skrillex was trying to mind his manners. It’s actually a collaboration with the surviving members of the Doors.

Rolling Stone also named Bangarang the fourteenth greatest EDM album of all time. Christgau named it the sixth best album of 2012 in his list for The Barnes & Noble Review. Bangarang won the Best Dance/Electronica Album award at the 55th Grammy Awards, as well as the Best Dance Recording award for the title track.
