Sziget Festival chief organizer Tamás Kádár said on Friday that Russian and Ukrainian artists would be performing at this year’s event because the festival “does not believe in cultural embargoes.” The annual musical extravaganza takes place on Budapest’s Hajógyári Island and lasts for a week. Kádár said at a press conference that the festival’s organizers “condemn the Russian aggression of war” and are in favor of peace.

The festival will take place on August 10-15, and it will feature performances by Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, the Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, DJ Calvin Harris, and the Kings of Leon.

Visitors will be able to enjoy performances by musicians from 52 different countries, with the festival itself showcasing 1,000 different shows. The festival’s organizers claim they have signed a 5-plus-5-year contract with the Budapest city council, ensuring the festival’s continuation and strengthening the festival’s commitment to environmental concerns.
