The ninth Ultra Europe event is in the books, and early numbers and results suggest it will be the most successful to date. While some information is still being analysed by the proper authorities, the sheer volume of attendees and the length of time they stayed at the festival prove that it is, indeed, one of the most successful musical endeavours in this part of Europe. The tenth anniversary celebration is now in the planning stages, and the first details, including the date and time, will be released to the public very soon.
During its seven-day run, the Ultra Europe event welcomed 150,000 music lovers from a record 143 nations, the majority of them were from Spain, the United States, Australia, Great Britain, France, Germany, Croatia, Norway, Italy, and Poland. Mexicans, Colombians, Andorrans, Saudis, Egyptians, Kuwaitis, Algerians, Panamanians, Puerto Ricans, and Dominicans were among the other nationalities represented. Over the course of the year, over 200,000 guests stayed the night, arriving via car, bus, rail, airline, and more than 150 different vessels. Ten luxury ships and over 150 sailboats made up the Ultra Europe sea fleet, while 60 private planes joined the many commercial airlines in the air. More than 3,000 people helped make the event a success, and over 200 DJs, including Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Carl Cox, Alesso, Boris Brejcha, Steve Aoki, and many more, performed for the crowds over nine stages in four locations. Over 200 accredited domestic and international media monitored the festival closely. More than 3,000,000 impressions were made throughout the festival, and since the festival was also streamed live on Facebook and YouTube, about 4,000,000 users were recorded. This makes the festival’s social network platform one of the largest in the region.
The official YouTube channel will host the sets of this year’s performers for those who couldn’t make it to ULTRA to hear the world’s best DJs play, and at the end of the year, a documentary film will be released about the ninth edition of the biggest electronic music festival in Croatia. The tenth annual jubilee will shortly have its planning stages initiated. Information may also be accessed on the festival’s Facebook page, Twitter account, and Instagram account, in addition to the official website at www.ultraeurope.com.
