Europe’s most electrifying festival city is just three weeks away from opening its gates! From July 19th to 21st, Parookaville will transform Weeze Airport in Germany’s NRW region into the “City of Dreams”, hosting 225,000 “citizens” and over 300 DJs and musicians. This exceptional festival’s ninth edition promises a weekend filled with lunacy, love, and pure joy. Attendees can look forward to an expanded festival site, new designs, and ecstatic shows, making this year’s Parookaville an unforgettable experience.
Stages: A Unique Festival Experience
Parookaville 2024 promises an expanded and revamped festival site with new areas and interactive installations. Each district offers a unique vibe, catering to fans of both heart-pounding beats and laid-back grooves.
The highly detailed site immerses attendees in their own city for the weekend. This year, the new Theatre District will feature mentalist Timon Krause, live podcasts by Daniel Danger, and performances by Oliver Pocher and Sandy Meyer-Wölden. Visitors can also enjoy burlesque, drag shows, a palm reader, and a “Compliment Caravan”.
The Power Plant stage moves to the new “Upper West Side”, creating more space for attendees. The Mainstage, redesigned annually by founder Bill Parooka, will remain a secret until the festival opens, promising to dazzle with new special effects. Side stages Power Plant, Time Lab, and Cloud Factory will also debut fresh makeovers.
As Parookaville gears up for its 10th anniversary, the second Mainstage, “Bill’s Factory”, will have its final appearance this year, featuring special festivities throughout the weekend. In 2025, it will be replaced with a new stage design.
The Brainwash stage, known for its wild energy, promises an all-out party with over 300 DJs and artists delivering an ecstatic festival experience.
To enhance the experience, the Mainstage has been enlarged to accommodate around 60,000 citizens, with a new entry and exit system ensuring smooth access. These changes, made without increasing the number of attendees, reflect the festival’s commitment to meeting the wishes of Parookaville’s citizens.
The Lineup: A Stellar Roster of Talent
Parookaville has a history of featuring some of the biggest names in the electronic music scene, and 2024 will be no exception.
This year promises an electrifying lineup. Armin van Buuren leads the pack with his monumental presence, while Timmy Trumpet returns for his fifth year, joined by W&W‘s dynamic blend of electro and trance. Paul Kalkbrenner and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike bring their iconic sounds back to the festival, each making their mark with unforgettable performances.
Adding to the excitement, Hardwell headlines Sunday’s Mainstage with his enduring popularity, while American DJ KSHMR introduces his unique fusion of electronic and Indian music. SCOOTER returns to Bill’s Factory with their high-energy presence, and Germany’s Lilly Palmer debuts at Desert Valley, showcasing her distinctive Techno style.
Don Diablo, known for his innovation in DJing and design through HEXAGON, joins the lineup alongside Above & Beyond, celebrated for their influential impact on electronic music.
Additionally, Steve Aoki’s renowned cake-filled performances and the iconic “Pizzaoki Bus” return to thrill fans once more. And Oliver Heldens brings his infectious blend of Mainstream and Underground sounds with HI-LO for his sixth appearance at Parookaville. The lineup is further enriched by Robin Schulz, Blasterjaxx, Guiseppe Ottaviani, Fedde Le Grand, Cristoph, Korolova, Maddix, Martien Solvieg, Neelix, Showtek, Space 92, Le Shuuk, Pretty Pink, Yves V, and many others, ensuring an unforgettable festival experience.
