Over the past decade, World Club Dome has redefined the concept of a music festival, blending innovation, spectacle, and unforgettable performances. From its home in Frankfurt to international editions, it has built a reputation for pushing boundaries and creating unique experiences for electronic music fans worldwide.
We got opportunity to sit down with the CEO of World Club Dome “Philipp & David” to discuss the story behind the festival’s success, its role in shaping global club culture, and the exciting plans on the horizon.
First things first, how are you guys & how is this year’s edition is going?
We are pretty good, a bit tired but fine. The weather was the thing that we couldn’t influence, but other than that everything is running smoothly. I think we have great new stages that are being accepted pretty well.
Which is the most anticipated stage World Club Dome has ever seen till date?
Everybody always anticipates a new design for the main stage, Zombie stage or Hardstyle stage which is always very demanded, we changed the design and compared to 2024 we have a completely redesigned main stage. Also the forest stage is completely completely new.
How do you feel the responsibility for being CEO of World Club Dome?
Feels good, it’s a lot of responsibility but we both have worked at the company for many years so we’re aware of the responsibility and the impact. You have to be responsible for all your employees also we have more freedom in decision making in terms of programming or stage designs and everything else.
So making the right decisions for everybody to be happy that buys the tickets, we think is one of the bigger ones.
How do you want to take legacy of World Club Dome forward?
For the past few months since we’ve taken over, we’ve been very focused with this year’s edition, have some good ideas already in the pipeline, and we’ll add more when this has concluded. We also had a good debriefing with the team and everybody that has participated in the event & surely gonna start to bring those ideas to life hopefully soon.
Is World Club Dome already making use of AI in their production?
Yes in small parts, we think there’s some good innovations in terms of crowd flow and systems that we use for counting the attendees and stuff like that are being looked at with an AI to validate the results.
As per Philipp & David, how is World Club Dome different from other festivals?
We are an urban festival, in the middle of the city which is a big difference to a lot of other festivals which are on the field there. That’s one of our main things plus we’re pretty secure in terms of weather, if it rains outside then nobody ever has to sit in their car and wait or go to their tent. Everybody can go within 10-15 minutes to & fro the city center. You can buy a new outfit and then come take a taxi and be on the dance floor in fifteen minutes. We have great hotels in Frankfurt. The city of Frankfurt provides a great, infrastructure with the airport being twelve minutes away, the main train station fifteen minutes away.
In the past World Club Dome has done Zero Gravity concept, any further plans you can reveal?
At the moment nothing like this. we’re focused on the event & looking into other possibilities as well. We’ve also done some different events around the city this year in preparation for this year. We’re looking into some other options that we have on the table at the moment for other events.
