What happens when two producers bonded by a shared past yet separated for years finally reconnect and rediscover the sound that first united them? For Driftmoon’s Juraj Klička and Miikka Leinonen, who reunited in 2023 after a seven-year break, the answer is “Moonstruck“, a 20-track debut album as a two-piece, created through a true musical homecoming.
Moonstruck gathers a whole galaxy of collaborators with co-producers like Ruben de Ronde, Richard Durand, Robert Nickson, and Hel:Sløwed, plus powerful vocalists including Sue McLaren, Sarah Howells, and Susie Ledge. Together, they help shape Driftmoon’s most ambitious project yet, an album so expansive and detailed that calling it an “opus” feels entirely appropriate.

For Juraj and Miikka, Moonstruck (quite literally “affected by the moon”) is both a leap forward and a return to roots.
“It’s a celebration of everything we’ve lived, learned, lost — and, more importantly, rediscovered,” Juraj shares. “At its heart, it captures our creative evolution over the last decade. It reflects collaboration, nostalgia, and growth. Honestly, it contains some of the best music Driftmoon has ever written, and we’re proud to finally share it.”
The album’s four phases trace their renewal:
🌑 New Moon — the spark of rediscovery, featuring club-driven singles like Earth Song and Colour Of Your Eyes.
🌕 Full Moon — the moment of complete creative flow, with powerful new studio collaborations with Hel:Sløwed, Asteroid, and vocalist Sarah Howells.
🌙 Crescent Moon — the more intimate side of the project, distilling Juraj and Miikka’s pure two-person creative chemistry.
🌘 Eclipse — the grand alignment, closing the cycle with contributions from Sue McLaren, Susie Ledge, Richard Durand, Robert Nickson, Mirage, and Xijaro & Pitch.
Ten years after Driftmoon began, Moonstruck brings the duo back to something beautifully familiar, a reconnection that bridges their shared past with a newly energized future.
