Sebastian Ingrosso is heading back to India after more than a decade, and he is returning as one of the headliners of Sunburn Festival 2026. The Swedish House Mafia star is set to take the stage at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse during the festival this December. His last appearance in India came with Swedish House Mafia during their One Last Tour at Sunburn Arena. The Chainsmokers have already been announced as the festival’s first headliner, with two more global headliners still to be revealed.

For fans who have followed electronic music in India for years, Ingrosso’s return brings back plenty of familiar sounds. Tracks such as Reload, Calling (Lose My Mind), More Than You Know and Sun Is Shining have become staples of dance music sets, while Swedish House Mafia anthems including Don’t You Worry Child and Save the World helped make him a major name among Indian electronic music fans. The scene has changed considerably since his last visit, too. Electronic music has grown from a relatively niche community into a much bigger youth culture, with fans travelling across cities and borders to see major artists and festivals.

Sunburn Festival 2026 will also have a new Mumbai setting, with Mahalaxmi Racecourse chosen as the venue for this year’s edition. The move gives the festival a new space for what is expected to be a large-scale electronic music experience in the city. Sunburn has been bringing major international and Indian artists to audiences across the country since 2007, helping establish India as an increasingly important destination for dance music and music tourism. With Ingrosso and The Chainsmokers already confirmed, more names are expected to be added to the lineup in the coming weeks.

Tickets for Sunburn Festival 2026 are now available on BookMyShow. The festival will feature four global headliners across two days, with Sebastian Ingrosso and The Chainsmokers currently confirmed. Sunburn began as a three-day festival in Goa in 2007 and has since grown into one of Asia’s major electronic dance music events, bringing some of the biggest names in the scene to India. The 2026 edition is presented by RuPay, driven by Hyundai, in association with Vedica, with Apple Music as the music partner.
