One of the reasons for this rapid development is undoubtedly Zedd’s unique and highly recognizable style of composition. It stands out as very detailed and carefully produced Electro House, very playful and the same time remarkably catchy.Zedd earned his first GRAMMY ever in the Best Dance Recording category for his breakthrough hit “Clarity” featuring Foxes back in 2013.


In 2009 he began producing electronic clubmusic, to much and quick acclaim. After a period of only few months he attained a remarkable level and participated in Beatport’s “Armand Van Helden / Strictly Rhythm Remix Contest”, which he went on to win. This opened up a number of new possibilities for Zedd, and only shortly after, he won his second contest on Beatport, the “Fatboy Slim / Skint Remix Contest”! This was the foundation for several cooperations with artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, P. Diddy, Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden and labels like mau5trap, Interscope, Atlantic, Strictly Rhythm or Skint Records. His first release “The Anthem” entered the Beatport charts top 20, and even made it to the second place of Track It Down charts. His remix for Skrillex’ ‘Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites’, released on ‘mau5trap recordings’ climbed up the charts to #4 on Beatport and #2 on Beatport’s Electro House charts. Zedd released his single “Shave It” on October 4th 2011 via Beatport under Skrillex’s label OWSLA.

1.Zedd was born  on September 2, 1989 in Saratov, Soviet Union.

2.Back in 2010 ,Zedd won two Beatport remix contests as an unsigned producer in 2010. He remixed Mousakka Clarke & Fisher’s “Love is Key” and Fatboy Slim’s “Weapon of Choice.

3.The massive Zedd’s remix of Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” was ranked number 2 on   the Beatport Electro House Top Ten charts, as a result  Skrillex signed Zedd to hisvery own OWSLA label.



4.Interestingly ,Zedd has also produced for the Black Eyed Peas



5.Zedd has also produced Lady Gaga’s hit album ARTPOP.

6.Actually Anton was a classically trained musician, later when he was exposed to French electronic duo Justice , Zedd became interested in producing electronic music ,when he was barely 20 years old.



7.Zedd’s  first single off of his debut album, Clarity, was “Spectrum.” The track featured  Matthew Koma on the vocals  and it was a massive hit the Top 10 on iTunes, Also it reached #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Song chart and Beatport Worldwide, and became the dance club song of the year in 2012.



8.At just an age of 12 , Anton joined his brother’s metal band called Dioramic, as a drummer. He was the part of it for about 9 years. 



9.Zedd  started writing music before the age of seven and would present his parents with a new song everyday when they got home from work.



 10.At just 23 years of age ,Zedd had a residency at LIGHT, a nightclub at the Mandalay Bay resort in Vegas, in 2013.
