When it comes to Trance, almost all the legends and artists were in Miami at one place.
You guessed it right, “A State of Trance” stage on Day 3 of UMF.

An yearly tradition of 7th consecutive time for Armin to host his own ASOT stage at Ultra Music Festival continued this year as well.

And every year the lineup gets better and better and better and this year too it was an epic marathon of 12 massive hours from 11AM in morning to 11PM in the night.

This year’s lineup was really epic and huge including names like “Armin van Buuren”, “Aly & Fila”, “Ferry Corsten”, “Vini Vici”, “Andrew Rayel”, “David Gravell”, “Ruben de Ronde” are just to name a few.

Even Armin’s radio studio was full of guests and visitors.

Before even beginning, let us admit and say the fact that all the sets were top notch with jaw dropping tracks and moments.

But, there were some surprise elements as well and they really nailed it.
All those 3 acts were a sort of returning to their roots, Trance roots.

NOTE – These top 3 Trance sets are based on our likings and personal favourites and is nowhere related to any ratings or rankings.

1) Alpha 9
They say “NO PARTY WITHOUT ARTY” and this Russian legend makes sure he makes this statement worth of it.
“Alpha 9” is a Trance project by Russian star “Arty”, where on this alias he has the freedom to do Trancy style production, and it was a while when we haven’t heard from Arty as Alpha 9.

This was the first time, Arty brought his alias Alpha 9 on stage.

2) Sander van Doorn pres P.Haze 3
“Purple Haze” or we can say Phazes is the Trance project by Dutch legend “Sander van Doorn”.Purple Haze marks the start of a completely separate, exciting, new endeavor for the star. Actually Sander Van Doorn had his early recording career in the tech-trance pillar of dance music. Purple Haze’s first release, “Neiloj,” was  premiered during ASOT episode 804 .



3.NWYR

Couple of months ago, this duo announced their return to Trance music with this brand new project, and there was no better place to debut it rather than the ASOT stage at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, yes yes, Ultra is the name :)They played an epic set full of IDs, along with their hit single “Lift Off”(acapella) in an amazingly done mashup.Their set also included their already out remix of “Ed Sheeran”‘s track “Castle On The Hill”.
