After announcing the first two headliners at Sunburn Festival’s 11th edition in Pune in December including the massive New Year gig with World #1 Martin Garrix, we’ve also heard that Sunburn is bringing down some of the best live acts to the festival including the ‘Rockabye’ hitmakers Clean Bandit. It is the time for all the big festival announcements and every festival is showcasing their catch headliners, we’ve heard some major announcements of other headlining artists are also expected tomorrow and day after.
Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye” became their second number-one hit in the UK and remained at number one for nine weeks, and went on to become the Christmas number one single for 2016. The song became an international chart topper for the band, becoming number 1 in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland and a Top 5 hit in Canada, France, Norway. It has also charted at number 9 on Billboard Hot 100 in the US
On 17 March 2017, the trio released “Symphony”, a collaboration with Swedish singer Zara Larsson. They gave their first live performance of the song on The Voice UK on 18 March 2017. As of late April 2017, the band have recently been in the studio with Sam Smith working on a “comeback single”. On 23 June the band released the studio version of “Disconnect” featuring Marina and the Diamonds.
Also to mention Clean Bandit’s songs have been remixed by R3HAB, also their hit “Rather Be” received an amazing remix treatment from Merk & Kremont. It will be interesting to see that Sunburn Festival which has a reputation of a hardcore dance music festival will take a leap forward towards a multi genre music festival with the addition of Clean Bandit to its line-up for this year’s edition.
