Saheeb Saha, best known as Jai Wolf is an American producer with Bangladeshi roots. He started off under this moniker by making remixes for artists like Melanie Martinez, Alesso, ODESZA and more, all of which hit the #1 spot on Hype Machine. His greatest commercial success – ‘Indian Summer’ is one that all of us have in our playlists.
He’s coming down to India this month for a six city tour along with KSHMR as part of Sunburn Arena. He’ll be performing in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bangalore! We got the chance to have a little chat with him before his India tour.
Q. After witnessing the success of ‘Kindred Spirits’, can we expect another another EP or album anytime soon? Your last single came out in April this year and we’ve been waiting for more since then. Are there any new releases coming up? Your remixes are the ones everyone waits for. Are there any more around the corner?
A. I can’t say much but I am working on a lot of music right now.
Q. Could you share something about your Indian sub continental roots? And are you planning to make any new music with that influence?
A. I was born in Bangladesh and my entire family lives there (apart from my parents). Right now I’m not focused on writing more songs with that influence but never say never!
Q. ‘Indian Summer’ is an iconic song which is played in almost every event here in India. So do you have any message for your fans here?
A. That’s crazy! I didn’t know that. Much love to anyone in India who is supporting me in any way!
Q. How do you feel about performing in India for the first time?
A. I’m extremely excited to finally be able to share my show in India!
