The week we all have been looking forward to is finally here. The biggest festival in Asia kicked off last night. It was a mixture of mesmerizing beauty of the valley in Lavale surrounding the Oxford Golf Resort. Sunburn have definitely been serendipitous when it comes to discovering venues. The highlight of the festival was the huge 350 feet mainstage ‘The Empire Of The Sun 2.0’. It has over 15,000 sq. ft of LED’s with pyros, SFX etc. This enables the ticket payers to have the perfect festival experience.
The mainstage, like the previous edition, kicked off with some hardstyle. This time it was the veteran Hardstyle DJ/Producer Coone. Hardstyle has been on the rise this decade and is now very popular, it is an integral part of almost every DJ’s sets nowadays. Sunburn is definitely doing it’s bit in providing us Indian fans with some Hardstyle for the past couple of years. Mattn tookover after Coone & kept the tempo going. The footfall started to rise exponentially by the time. At festivals, majority of the public like to get in when the sun sets & the atmosphere cools down.
With the crowd in full flow, wanting some more, it was time for the headliners to showcase their skills. The world no. 2 DJ’s Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike made sure the crowd had the time of their lives. The played some ‘Complicated’, ‘Hook Up’ & many more. Other notable acts for the day were Mad MAC, Akade, TALAMASCA upped the ante on the other respective stages.
