Carl did the very first Essential mix of 2018, actually he Cox did his first Essential Mix in October 1994 for the program’s 49th episode.Carl Cox was amongst the first DJs to become a globally recognised celebrity. In demand on dancefloors and stopped in the street since the ‘90s, he’s long since been lauded for his unique brand of technical wizardry, infectious passion for the music and for the physicality of his performance style. 2017 saw a lot of iconic names curating the Essential Mix such as Tchami, Artwork, Calibre, Hunee, Maya Jane Coles to name a few.
