Legendary Finnish Trance duo “Miika” & “Janne” better known as “Super8 & Tab” released their third album titled “Reformation” Part-1 this week. Duo is on fire with their productions last year and for 2018 they have something very special indeed. Since it was their album release, the moment was perfect to come on Armin van Buuren’s radio show A State of Trance to talk more about the album and exclusive guest mix followed by an extra hour XXL episode of the show.

Just before the guestmix, Armin had a chat with the duo.

Armin – I am a big fan and i think in almost my every set i play track from you guys and you guys have big news coz this week you are celebrating your brand new album Reformation Part1, so first question, why is it Part 1 ?

Super8 & Tab – Yeah, we want to split it into 2 parts, coz we want every track to have as much attention as possible, so 13 tracks split into Part1 with 6 and Part2 with 7 which is going to release in end May or early June.

Armin – Yeah, i heard a lot of the stuff and i am really impressed, also you are flirting with other styles but keep true to your original sounds and it took you 4 years since your last album Unified which was released in 2014, what took you so long to come up with this album?

Super8 & Tab – We were doing singles but we also thinking not to do an album, but like 18 months ago we had an idea about why don’t we pack these tracks together.

Armin – What’s with the title Reformation? Where does it come from?

Super8 & Tab – We came into a kind of point in our career that we need to inspired again, that we need to change and it actually started that we signed onto your label, but also we changed a lot of things like how we write music in studio, how we work in studio, so just tried to change things and make it exciting again.

Armin – One of your biggest success last year was your track Mega, which is still doing really well in my sets whenever i play, is that the sound you would want to go to, or was it just an experiment ?

Super8 & Tab – Experiment, you know like the sounds of Cosmo, Pressure, that’s kind of sounds we would like to do in future as well.
