Back in 2016 W Hotels and Mixcloud launched Future Rising, a platform championing the creative leaders of tomorrow across the artistic sphere – from musicians and DJs, to visuals artists and film directors, to creative entrepreneurs and innovators. They toured across Europe and the Middle East bringing together some of the most exciting up and coming musicians, artists and collectives.
At the heart of Future Rising is the ambition to identify and foster future creative leaders, cultivate new talent, craft and collaborate on a global scale.
Witness Goa’s most passionate residents, creative artists and thinkers uncover the influence of Goa in culture and music, both locally and globally. Future Rising brings you the most exciting musical talents from across India; to create projects around a theme of ‘Wonderland’- visualizing a future that they would want to live in tomorrow.
It will be featuring:
– Panel discussion with Subodh Kerkar (artist), Prashant Panjiar (photojournalist), Prahlad Sukthtankar (restauranteur) and Akshay Tandon (FC Goa) and musician and co-founder of Magnetic Fields Festival Smita Singh.
– A trio of installations from Subodh Kerkar
– DJ sets from _RHL, Tsunami Soup Collective (AGENT + Luna Toke), and Boxout Soundsystem (boxout.fm)
In this Wild City takeover, Goa’s creative community will converge on W Goa for a night of MUSIC, ART and DISCUSSIONS. Uncovering the influence of Goa in culture and music.
It is scheduled to take place on 5th May 2018 at W Goa, Location Vagator Beach, Bardez, Goa 6 pm onwards.
