Unicorn Slayer Mr Markus Schulz has recently released his brand new artist album “We Are The Light” and if we have to define this album in a single word, its purely a Masterpiece. And Masterpiece too would be an understatement for an album like this where Markus put his heart and soul and one can see his feelings and how he sees the world during making of it.
Album contains 16 amazing tracks and each one is so very different from the other, like a track which has no title but instead co-ordinates, it is the co-ordinates of Eschwege from Germany where he originated from and its a message to the world that i never forgot about my roots.
Another interesting story about the track Shoulders and according to him it is the hardest track to finish because he wrote the track just with a guitar and everything he did, felt like overdoing it and it took almost 3 months for him just to finish this one track, album also contains the anthem for this year’s Transmission edition titled as “The Awakening” which is a stormer for sure.
Markus drops some insight of his album and says:
“The last Dakota album was written from the standpoint of how I saw things at the time. ‘Watch The World’, in hindsight, was more observatory and third person. This one though is written from what I see as a shared collective perspective & experience between the fans and myself. We are the positivity that the world needs. Ultimately what I want is for people to feel good after listening to this album. To spark a greater sense of positivity; to empower in someway. I really see our community as a microcosm of what could ‘be’ with the world. In a way we are a poster child for a better way of being. If we could in some way harness the sense of community & its positivity and catalyse it beyond our bounds, it would give electronic music a legacy so, so much bigger than it even is now.”
