Dutch Trance Superstar Artento Divini hits again the dancefloors with his latest track title Bengaluru including the vocals by Ankit Sharda, the track which is dedicated to Indian Silicon Valley Bengaluru in Karnataka is a way of showing his love and respect for the city and also his experiences from what he had during his DJ residency last year at club CloudNYN with a unique concept called Trancerdam which used to happen every last Friday of the month.

Track got the immediate attention of Armin van Buuren and he decided to release it on his label Who’s Afraid of 138?!, in fact track is so melodic and energetic that even Armin was seeing dancing in his ASOT studio while spinning this one during the broadcast of ASOT #889, track got amazing response and was crowned Future Favorite in last week’s episode #890.

It was a long time since we had a word with Artento, so it was a perfect time to chat where he talks about the track, inspiration, title and much more.

EDMLI : Please tell us about this amazing melody Bengaluru, why the title dedicated to Indian Silicon Valley?

Arento: The track ‘Bengaluru’ is made as tribute for my friends and fans I met last year during my DJ-Residency in CloudNyn. The city and the people I’ve met made a big impression on me so that’s why ‘Bengaluru’.

EDMLI : What is the source of inspiration for this?

Artento : The inspiration I got from the sets I played in CloudNyn, I noticed that ‘Psy-trance’ worked very well on the dancefloor in Bengaluru and the last 20 minutes of my 2 hours sets was ‘Psy-trance’ and uplifting trance.
I tried to bring the clubbers of CloudNyn in contact with other kinds of trance music and took them on a journey every last Friday of the month, I used to start with Techy sounds around 132 BPM and going all way up to 138 Psy & Uplifting bangers. I’m not a psy-trance DJ or Producer, but I’m not afraid to play it at the end of my sets, as DJ / producer you want tracks by your own that fits in every moment of your set so that how ‘Bengaluru’ was born.

EDMLI : What’s up with the shlokas / mantras used in the track and why Ankit ??

Artento: As you travel that much to India as I did you will get in contact with other artists, via Facebook I got in contact with Ankit Sharda, have heard some vocals he did and I contacted him. He was up for it and wrote this beautiful mantra for Bengaluru.

Mangalam Bhagavan Vishnu
