3. deadmau5 helped Skrillex to get into the spotlight by releasing some of his global hits on his very own imprint mau5trap. Yes, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites was released on mau5trap.

 

4. He got his moniker from his friends because his friends used to tease him by calling him ‘Skril’, ‘Skrilly’, and ‘Skrillex’.

 

5. Kaskade’s “Lick It” featured Skrillex’s vocals, the track was a part of Kaskade’s album ‘Fire & Ice’.

 

6. In 2011, SKRILLEX established his very own record label OWSLA.

 

7. In his teen years, he would often attend punk concerts in the Mexican American localities in South and East Los Angeles and later on went to clubs situated in downtown LA that played electro house music.
