Sunwaves is one of the most notorious music festivals set in Mamaia Nord, Romania. Each year the festival it’s getting bigger and brighter in the world of minimal techno world as well as in the hearts and souls of the participants. Sunwaves Festival it’s one of the oldest, popular and respected music venues from Romania which gained international recognition over the past years. This is due to the sonically atmosphere filled with major international artists such as Marco Carola or Ricardo Villalobos as well as talented Romanian artists such as Priku, Barac, Gescu, and Cap. It is said that there’s something infinite about Romanian minimal house because it’s built in some sort of slow motion. Previous editions of the festival hosted top guns such as Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, and Seth Troxler to name a few.
The subtle bass and groove sound from the stages is morphing time and space. The artists are creating a time bubble in time in which five hours feels like five minutes. Participants enter the space of the festival heading towards seaside with the sun shining above them. It’s some sort of a different reality filled with colorful tents, hammocks, small and cozy pavilions and of course the stages which are aligned on the seaside. Each one of the stages is specially designed to create an undecipherable sort of ‘special’ that makes each one of the spectators to feel like home.
Once the party people enter the area, they are surrounded by the vibes coming from the stages not only creating a welcoming sight but to create a new world and perhaps a new culture of techno music – an unbelievable experience that for sure you can’t forget. Crossing the area of the festival between the dancers that are floating in different realms you can almost hear their thoughts and feel the astonishing vibes that are enveloping Sunwaves each year. SW25 is going to bring on stages many beautiful artists as first part of the line-up was released a few days ago. In alphabetical order Alex Kennon, Antonio Pica, Arapu, Bill Patrick, Cap, Cezar, Loco Dice, Magda, Mahony, Marco Carola, Nastia, Priku, Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, and The Martinez Brothers.
The spring edition this year is going to take place from 25th of April until 30th of April. Make sure you book your tickets as the early bird ones are already available.
