Egyptian power duo Aly & Fila have long been supreme purveyors of the melodic sounds that electronic music has to offer. Fusing contemporary styles with those of a bygone era, the pair seek the uplifting with a scale of emotion that is rarely matched. They are all set to release their sixth studio album titled ‘It’s All About The Melody’.  Playing almost 120 shows every year with top billing at the biggest festivals from EDC Las Vegas to Ultra Music Festival and Dance Valley to Tomorrowland, the name Aly & Fila is also a regular feature in the calendars of most of the world’s biggest clubs that includes venues such as Ministry of Sound, Amnesia and many more.

Through their Future Sound of Egypt concept, which also comprises of their globally popular radio show, the duo frequently hit the road under the event banner ‘FSOE’, giving fans an opportunity to experience the unique sounds of Aly & Fila and Future Sound of Egypt live.

We got an amazing opportunity to chat with the legends ahead of their album release, check it out!

1)First of all, big congratulations on the release of your another single, can you please tell us something more about it, especially the title, Its all about the melody?

Thank you for the kind words, The Title of the single is also the title of our forthcoming album this year. The title signifies that’s its all about the music, that its all about the melody!

 

2) If we are not wrong, your very first collaboration of you guys with your German friends Kyau & Albert has happened, how did that come about?🙂

We have not announced a collab with Kyau & Albert, who knows in future ☺

 

3) July will see the return of FSOE stage at Tomorrowland in Belgium, any specials plans? What difference FSOE fans can expect from the previous year.

We are extremely proud to be returning to host the FSOE Stage at Tomorrowland. We are always looking to keep the line up fresh and diverse.

 

4) In less than just 10 weeks, your very own weekly radio show FSOE will hit the milestone of 600 episodes, are you planning a world tour for the celebrations? If yes which countries and is India on the list? What can we expect?

All will be revealed in good time ☺

 

5) You are known for Open to close extended sets, what is the weirdest memory of any OTC set and why?

Maybe a storm when we played in Rosario, Argentina , but we were thankfully able to perform next night instead, was an amazing party!

 

6) Which artists and labels are interesting to you, that you to look forward to?

We have many artists on our various labels on FSOE which to keep eyes on, Ciaran McAuley, Stephen Kirkwood, Paul Thomas, Bluum, Alessandra Roncone, A&Z , Factor B to name but a few.

 

7) How do you maintain that balance in your personal life along with touring the world & making new music?

It’s not easy but with the support of our families and teams and friends and the fans helps a lot.

8) Any special message to your huge fan base in INDIA?

We hope to be back in India very soon!
