Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas is all set to have another monumental edition this weekend, May 17-19. After selling out the GA tickets for their 3-day festival, EDC is expected to draw in crowds of over 450,000. EDC is best known for its ‘Dusk till Down’ festival hours, crazy firework shows, unique art installations and of course, the world’s biggest DJs bringing their A-game and enthralling huge crowds. But if you’re not making the trip to Las Vegas for EDC this year, fret not as EDC brings a 4-channel live stream of the festival proceedings to us this year. While Channel 1 will feature exclusively curated content with live sets from multiple stages of the festival. Channel 2, 3 & 4 will be dedicated to full live sets from Kinetic Field, Cosmic Meadows, and Circuit Grounds respectively.

With the who’s who of EDM realm taking the stage, here’s a list of 10 acts you need to catch on the EDC live stream :

Friday

Eric Prydz

Eric Prydz is the one act you should never give a miss. The Swedish producer’s rich discography built over the years and countless stunning unreleased ID’s allows him to provide fans with a different experience at his every show. With the release of his new Pryda EP’s just around the corner, expect him to test those ID’s out at EDC Las Vegas. Prydz returns to Circuit Grounds again this year and he’ll be taking the stage at 12:00 AM local time. Until then, enjoy this video of Mr. Prydz closing his set at EDC’s 20th Anniversary with this beautiful ID called Nopus.

Above & Beyond

The British trance trio is set to be back at EDC and they will be taking the stage right after Eric Prydz at Circuit Grounds. Above & Beyond always manage to evoke a certain deep and unresolved emotions with their songs and the same transcend to their live shows. And who can forget that epic moment at EDC Las Vegas back in 2015 when Above & Beyond brought out Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranstone aka Walter White to Push the button?

Deadmau5

Much to the rejoice of dance music fans, deadmau5 and Pasquale Rotella have put their beef aside as the Canadian producer is back to headline EDC after 9 years! The last time deadmau5 had performed at EDC was in 2010, when the festival used to take place in Los Angeles. Which means this would be the first time deadmau5 will be taking the stage at EDC Las Vegas. He’s also bringing his cube 3.0 with him this time and we can only hope there would be no difficulties like we saw with Cube 3.0’s debut at Ultra Miami.

Excision

Excision is the crowd favorite at EDC. His unparalleled success in the bass music scene led him to launch his very own festival, Lost Lands, in 2017. Excision will make his mainstage debut at EDC Las Vegas this year and an army of headbangers in the crowd will be following him there. Last year he brought out Illenium on the stage to premiere their collaboration ‘Gold (Stupid Love)’ and we can’t help but wonder which new track(s) he would be premiering this weekend.

Saturday

Zhu

The mysterious producer will be bringing his live show to the Cosmic Meadows stage. His 2018 album ‘Ringos Dessert’ heaped praises from all corners. Expect him to bring those dreamy vibes and take the crowd on a beautiful journey this Saturday.

Rezz

Rezz has seen a meteoric rise to the top in the span of just over 2 years and deservedly so. Her production diminishes the boundaries of genres and strikes a balance between bass heavy and minimal tech. The whole hypnotic theme of Rezz’s music is well reflected in the visuals at her shows as well. With the release of the first single off her upcoming new EP, Rezz will most probably unleash the remaining tracks during her set. At just 22 years, Rezz is headlining festivals all over the world and has built a loyal fanbase who like to call themselves ‘Cult of Rezz’. The Cult of Rezz will throng the Circuit Grounds this Saturday as their space mom snatches some more souls.

Martin Garrix

Many may find it hard to believe that an A-list DJ like Martin Garrix prefers performing at a stage other than the mainstage. But that is the case at EDC as Garrix will return to Circuit Grounds for the 3rd time in past 4 years. The major reason behind this is that Circuit Grounds allows the Dutch DJ to showcase his breathtaking visuals and stunningly programmed lasers to its fullest. What helps his cause is the huge capacity of crowd Circuit Grounds can hold, which can put most mainstage crowds around the world to shame.

RL Grime

RL Grime is one of the most celebrated trap producers. He put his production masterclass on display with his 2018 album Nova, collaborating with big names like Julia Michaels, Miguel and Ty Dolla $ign. Keeping his involvement in the hip hop music in mind, RL might just bring out some rappers during his set on the mainstage of EDC.

Sunday

Tchami X Maala (No Redemption)

EDC Las Vegas is the latest stop to Tchami and Malaa’s No Redemption tour. The French house music duo are fresh off their appearances at Coachella. Their groovy and thumping house music will take things back to the basics. Make sure you catch the duo on the livestream this Sunday.

Jamie Jones

Jamie Jones is a renowned DJ and Producer in the technosphere. It was a bit surprising to see his name on the mainstage, but since he is listed to close the festival, there would be no better way to end things than Jamie’s deep and melodic techno sound. It will definitely be a challenge for him to go from the familiar crowd at Neon Garden to the mainstage, but a genius DJ like him will be up for the challenge and it will be interesting to see how he works his way around that.

Apart from the live sets of your favorite DJs, the four channel stream on tv.insomniac.com will also showcase Opening Ceremony hosted by Bill Nye, Firework shows and behind the scenes interviews. Refer to the following image for the start time of the live stream as per global timezones.
