The biggest online music store for DJs – Beatport has launched their very own music streaming service called Beatport LINK. Beatport may not be as popular as it used to be about 4-5 years back when getting your track in the Beatport charts was quite an achievement for producers. However, things changed when music streaming platforms like Spotify came into the picture and digital music downloads saw significant dip worldwide. Though Beatport still remains a go-to place for professional DJs to update their tracklists, not so much for a regular consumer.

Beatport taps into the music streaming service through the launch of Beatport LINK, which is still in beta version, along with Beatport Cloud. The link will allow users to stream Beatport’s extensive catalog of over 6 million tracks directly into the performance software. While features like full track previews, unlimited re-downloads of previously purchased tracks and ‘My Library’ section will be available for the users of Beatport Cloud. Beatport has collaborated with Pioneer DJ for this ambitious project and LINK’s beta version can be tested out with Pioneer’s WeDJ app.

Talking about the launch of the full version in future, Beatport’s CEO Robb McDaniels said:

“The launch of Beatport LINK exhibits our commitment to creating the best possible experience for our expanding ecosystem of DJs, and we can think of no better partner than Pioneer DJ for the service’s first software integration. We are particularly excited to introduce the upcoming Offline Performance Mode, which firmly sets Beatport LINK apart from its competitors in the DJ market.”

Beatport LINK’s monthly subscription will cost $14.99. Get a 3-month trial here.
