Release-wise, there’s been a disturbance in the JOC force this year, but not without fair reason. Having blazed the trail with its live shows, the Subculture premier had release-matters of a Key4050 nature to attend to. To start wrapping up his 2019 though, John thought he owed floors a standalone. And with ‘Hammers At Dawn’ they’re about to get it. Now we know what you’re thinking, with a title like that, this can only be JOC back at his musically bombastic, peak-time-dialed, thunder-hearted best. And you wouldn’t be wrong!

Its synths enrapture, the pace is atomic, it’s bass’ tenacious and John’s mainline nothing less than a serotonin-homing missile. ‘Hammers At Dawn’ is club-behemoth and statement-of-intent as one. Its message couldn’t be clearer: normal service resumes in 2020. Floors worldwide, consider that notice served!
