If you love watching live sets or radio shows of your favorite DJs online, it’s hard not to have come across the website called 1001tracklists. The go-to site for identifying tracklists, be it unreleased IDs, mashups to even the minuscule vocal samples used by DJs, 1001tracklists gets it right more often than not. To grow from that, 1001tracklist also compile unique rankings for music producers using their vast database of tracks played by DJs around the world. Unlike the controversial DJ Mag’s Top 100 and other major rankings that are based on fan votes, 1001tracklist’s Top 101 music producers list is purely driven on data.

According to 1001tracklists:

“This ranking reflects the cumulative amount of unique DJ support for tracks played from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019.”

Dance music veteran David Guetta tops the 2019 rankings riding on the success of his studio album ‘7’ and launch of underground house music alias ‘Jack Back‘. The French icon is followed by Dutch legend Tiesto and Skrillex who remain to be among the most played artists in the circuit. Axwell, Armin Van Buuren, Diplo, Ingrosso, Don Diablo, Camelphat and Chris Lake manage to make into the top 10. The current #1 DJ on DJ Mag’s poll, Martin Garrix, finds himself sitting at 14th place. Dutch producer Jack Wins jumped up 62 spots while his fellow countryman Luca Debonaire dropped 83 spots from 2018 results. The honor for the biggest newcomers in this year’s list went to Keanu Silva who debuted at #23.
