Tritan (pronounced try-ton) is the recording alias of Anant Tripathi, a 19-year-old melodic bass music producer from India. He started making music after he discovered Avicii making songs on FL Studio. When asked about his influences, He talked about various artists/bands such as Illenium, Porter Robinson, Avicii, Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda and Rob Bourdon of Linkin Park. His styles somewhere fall between a blend of bass music, alternative rock, and trap.

After amassing more than 334,000 listeners in 2019 Spotify Wrapped, He went on to sign the biggest release of his career called, “Hollow Life” in collaboration with Norwegian based vocalist/singer Ratfoot. This release was signed on NCS, a major record label in the electronic music scene with a solid subscriber count of nearly 25 million.

Q. Since when you wanted to get signed by NCS?

A – NCS is like every electronic musician’s goal label. I discovered NCS through a Denver based artist, Phantom Sage. His release called MIKO really got me into discovering most of the label’s releases and shortly after listening to them, I decided I’d really love to get signed by them someday. It’s been a great opportunity to sign my release and after that getting to know a lot of artists, managers of the team NCS.

 

Q. Any kind of a story you have behind the song?

A – The story is about the struggle of a creative individual who finds himself alone from the crowd and often in constant pursuit of the unknown. The song tells about an individual with loneliness.

 

Q. What is your aim for 2020?

A – I want to invest a major portion of my time in improving my songwriting and production skills. When I look at my life in general, I feel like creating music is what truly matters to me. It gives me a sense of purpose and something I can contribute to this world. I want to spend my time making songs, collaborating with some artists I always wanted to, improving my skills and so on.
