Countdown of countdowns, list of lists and Trance of Trance, ring a bell ? Well, when we talk about Trance, there’s one name on everyone’s mind, the dutch trance legend, Mr Armin van Buuren and his iconic weekly radio show A State of Trance.
For almost 20 years, he and his astonishing team is delivering the latest and best in Trance & Progressives every single week without a miss. What started in way back then in May 2001 as a radio show is now a brand and name which speaks for itself and no words in the world can describe its impeccable success, speaking of success and celebrations, this radio show is about to hit the massive milestone of completing 1000 episodes.
With an event and milestone like this, it calls for celebration of the equal amount and Armin never really disappoints his fans in doing that. With the broadcast of episode 999 last night, road to episode 1000 has started already with 7 days of live-streaming that means 1000 will be one week non stop of A State of Trance.
Live-streaming started after 999 with the favorite live set as voted/selected by listeners followed by broadcasting all the year-mixes starting from 2004 all the way till 2020 and then from Saturday January the 16th they will start the countdown of list of the lists, the A State of Trance Top 1000 (top 1000 trance tracks from this radio from 2001 till date) it will continue till next Thursday until the beginning of the official episode 1000 where the top 50 tracks will be broadcasted in the 5 hour show.
Its merely a co-incidence that episode 1000 will be broadcasted on January 21 (21-01-2021) is the official date for episode 1000 and to the add cherry to the cake Armin recently published the top 950 tracks from the list of lists from 50-1000 and one can check them here.
