After witnessing uncertainties caused by COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian electronic music industry has started to come back to it’s original self with a number of artist tours announcements and events taking place. In the past few years, the underground music in India has boomed like anything and continues to do so. A number of phenomenal techno acts such as Amelie Lens, B.Traits, Bart Skils, Deborah de Luca, Farrago & more have toured India in 2019-2020 and it’s time to add more iconic names to the list.

We’ve got some really exciting news to share with all the Indian underground music aficionados! The legendary Berlin based visionary artist Ellen Allien is all set to make her Indian debut very soon.

Ellen has been in the scene for over two decades and has a comprehensive discography of nine solo albums and an extensive catalog of singles, EPs and remixes for seminal labels like Warp and Mute. Besides her hectic touring schedule, she also heads two of the techno scene’s major record imprints BPitch Control & UFO Inc. which are a platform for rough, raw and hypnotic techno releases. Ellen has already channeled her energy with the ‘extraterrestrial’ & future-facing sound at renowned techno gatherings such as Awakenings, Movement, EXIT and prestigious clubs including FABRIC, DC10 & the list goes on. Even when the world was under a lock-down, she kept fans’ spirit alive across the globe by streaming groovy, banging DJ sets from her balcony.
