UNTOLD’s seventh edition was memorable for fans, artists, and Cluj-Napoca. More than 360,000 people attended the 4-day, 4-night UNTOLD festival, and many stayed in the city before or after. 25% of participants are from Cluj County, 15% are from abroad, and 60% are from Romania.

According to a first calculation based on estimated figures and by the festival’s commercial partners, local hoteliers, restaurant owners, shopping centers, etc., the 270,000 participants from outside Cluj County spent at least 225 euros during the festival’s 4 days. This money covered lodging, transportation, food, walks, and shopping. This means an injection of over 60 million euros into the local economy. Spending at the UNTOLD festival will be reflected in local taxes and fees, business receipts, and landlords’ rental income.

UNTOLD organizers continue to invest in the community after the festival. Every year, organizers, landscapers, and space maintenance and design specialists put into action a plan to improve the festival’s city center location. Organizers spent 1,000,000 RON on festival spaces.

The festival boosted Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, and Romania’s image. Untold, one of the world’s biggest festivals, is being talked about by artists, their teams, production people, international journalists, and foreign fans. Viberate ranked UNTOLD 5th worldwide in 2022.
