“It Girl,” released today by Sweat It Out, features Associanu, Karma Fields, and Kah-Lo.
Since releasing Fake ID and Rinse & Repeat with Riton, Kah-Lo has ruled dance floors worldwide with her smooth rhythm and captivating lyrics. The Nigerian-born, New York-based musician has over 270 million streams and a GRAMMY nomination for “Rinse & Repeat“.
She has worked with Idris Elba, Diplo, Selena Gomez, and The Knocks. Kah-Lo released her long-awaited solo EP, The Arrival, in 2021. She continued to shine this year with “Drag Me Out” and a guest appearance on Billen Ted’s “People Ain’t Dancing.” Every time she speaks, Kah-Lo is herself.
Associanu is a loose LA-based art and dance music collective centered around Karma Fields’ production skills. Locking a Swedish pop singer, two American music producers, a fashion producer, and a Kiwi creative director in a house for a year created the group. Associanu’s braintrust includes Tove Lo, Samuel Luria, Jesse Selchow, Charlie Twaddle, and Karma Fields. The project makes powerful house and techno music for enjoyment.
They only guarantee dancing. A lot. Associanu released their first song, This Is A Song About Dancing on the iconic electronic label FFRR in late 2021, followed by Don’t Forget To Breathe in June 2022. BBC Radio 1, Apple Music 1, Diplo’s Revolution, triple j, and George FM have supported the collective. Associanu can go far with support from Diplo, Tiesto, Eats Everything, Claptone, Pete Tong, Ben Böhmer, SOFI TUKKER, and Vintage Culture.
Karma Fields became a standout audio/visual dance music project in 2016 with a full-length album (New Age | Dark Age) and a continuous music video.
Karma Fields, produced by Tim Nelson, features monochromatic themes, AI-generated images, and somber music. Karma Fields has collaborated with Tove Lo, Talib Kweli, Juliette Lewis, Little Boots, Kah-Lo, Raven Kwok, and Cao Yu Xi. He is a skilled producer and songwriter with over 100 million streams and many Billboard Dance charting singles and albums.
