Electric Castle organizers promise a magnificent 9th edition in four months. EC is the best event for live music from a range of genres and a real festival experience, including Macklemore, The Chemical Brothers, Iggy Pop, George Ezra, Pendulum, Jamie XX, and Peggy Gou headlining and over 300 more acts.

Macklemore is the first rap artist to headline an Electric Castle edition. His debut album won four Grammys, making him an international sensation. With Thrift Shop, his breakthrough single and first US No. 1, Macklemore has consistently charted with new songs like Heroes and Same Love. The rapper performs a new album and a gig in Romania for his first concert in years.
Jamie XX joins The Chemical Brothers and Peggy Gou as electronic music EC headliners. The xx’s creator has focused on his solo career and is known for his live improvisation at the world’s top festivals.

Rezz, Romy, and Noga Erez launched the list of essential moments alongside James Lavelle, founder of UNKLE, who was already at the festival; Huey Morgan, former member of Fun Loving Criminals and notable BBC Radio DJ; Berlin pair Booka Shade; and Canadian band Tiga. Boy Harsher, an American darkwave band inspired by David Lynch, and Emma Ruth Rundle, an American underground singer-songwriter, can be EC9’s musical revelations.
Electric Castle subscriptions are 139 euros + taxes with installments until April 12. Single-day tickets cost 55 euros Plus VAT. EC Village’s tents, vehicle camping, hygge, and pre-pitched tents are running out, alerting festivalgoers who want to remain for the whole festival.
Electriccastle.ro lists all 300 acts performing on the Banffy Field from July 19 to 23.
