Words cannot match music. The seventh European UNTOLD Festival was great. Over 420.000 fans from around the world experienced 250 acts, DJs, and producers at one of the world’s largest music events. This year’s Cluj-Napoca festival broke its attendance record. Imagine Dragons, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and Tale of Us wowed tens of thousands with their performances. 200 fans had the best experience of their lives staying on the mainstage with Armin van Buuren, the world’s top trance DJ.
“UNTOLD Festival Day 1: Fans Are the Headliners, Not the Artists!” ALOK
Alok’s UNTOLD-themed act opened the ceremony. “DJs are the last attraction of the UNTOLD festival; the biggest attraction is the fans,” stated the Brazilian DJ and producer. Alok’s live set elevated festival pleasure.
“UNTOLD magnetises the world. “I’d be heartbroken if I didn’t come to UNTOLD in a year.” “Cake Me!” inventor Steve Aoki informed fans. The American DJ and producer performed Romanian tune “Andrii Popa” live. Aoki released UNTOLD premiere ‘Won’t Forget This Time’ with John Martin and KAAZE.
UNTOLD Festival Day 2: “THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS LOVE; YOU GAVE IT TO US” SAID IMAGINE DRAGONS PLAYING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ROMANIA
“We are in Romania for the first time; you are an awesome crowd! You loved me tonight. Thank you! “You gave us love,” remarked Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons). Imagine Dragons fans shared a special bond. For 1.5 hours, artists and crowds were one. Reynolds‘ powerful voice lent credibility to every composition. “Radioactive,” “Demons,” “Enemy,” “Bad Liar,” “Natural,” “Bones,” “Follow You,” “Whatever it Takes,” and “Walking The Wire” were sung by tens of thousands.Salvatore Ganacci’s set elevated the main stage’s pleasure. The Sweden DJ and producer’s visual performance featuring Ganacci’s dance skills and jokes thrilled UNTOLD fans. Alesso and Tujamo’s smashes and UNTOLD sets captivated the world’s best crowd. On the festival’s second day, Claptone’s Masquerade set at the techno temple Galaxy stage was followed by Camelphat, Bedouin, Mathame, and Sublee till late in the morning.
UNTOLD Festival Day 3: MARTIN GARRIX ELECTRIFIED THE MAIN STAGE WITH A UNIQUE SHOW
Martin Garrix rocked the main stage on the third day of UNTOLD realm, delighting over 110,000 fans. Garrix thanked everyone and thrilled the crowd with UNTOLD remixes and fresh productions. A Romanian man proposed to his girlfriend onstage, and she answered “Yes!”
Eric Prydz’s first Romanian performance on the main stage at the UNTOLD Festival thrilled audiences. ZHU, another UNTOLD premiere, dazzled the best crowd in the world with his deep sounds and amazing vocals. The main stage sang along with the American artist from “Faded” to “Changes”.
UNTOLD Festival Day 4: ARMIN VAN BUUREN PLAYED WITH OVER 200 FANS ON THE MAIN STAGE AND DAVID GUETTA DELIVERED AN INCREDIBLE SHOW FULL OF EMOTIONS
Armin van Buuren, one of the most anticipated acts in the UNTOLD tale, made the festival’s eighth edition memorable. He has been here since 2015.
Tens of thousands of admirers followed Armin home till daylight. A 5-hour concert was amazing. Armin surprised Grammy winner Sam Martin. American-born performer performed “My Wild Wild Son,” “Miles Away,” and “Mask” live. The didgeridoo, a circular-breathing instrument, makes Israeli artist Noa Zulu seem otherworldly. Cluj-Arena had a first-ever audio experience with psytrance and the didgeridoo. Armin van Buuren and Noa Zulu gave another special version of “The Tribe” to their fans.
Fedde Le Grand, UNTOLD’s last DJ, brought his wife. “Every time I come to UNTOLD, I enjoy this unique connection,” cried the Dutchman. The festival is exceptional.”
