The area surrounding the Pyramids of Giza has hosted many memorable events over the years, but this October it will become home to a brand-new electronic music festival. Called Starlight Festival, the event is being launched through a partnership between EXIT Festival and P+US, the electronic music platform of Venture Lifestyle. Running from October 8 to 11, the festival is expected to bring together international artists, music fans and visitors from across the region in a setting unlike any other.

For many fans, the lineup will be the biggest draw. Charlotte de Witte is set to perform in Egypt for the first time, while Michael Bibi will bring his music to the pyramids area for the first time. Adriatique is also returning after previously playing a major show near the historic landmark. They will be joined by artists including Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, WhoMadeWho and Enrico Sangiuliano, as well as a range of regional and international acts. Together, they form one of the strongest electronic music lineups announced in the region this year.

While the performances are at the heart of the event, organisers are planning more than just a series of DJ sets. Starlight Festival will feature multiple stages and entertainment zones, giving visitors different experiences throughout the weekend. One of the highlights is expected to be an advanced virtual reality attraction that was first introduced at Expo Dubai. The festival itself will not take place directly at the pyramids, but attendees will still enjoy views of the ancient monument from a nearby designated location.

The people behind the festival see it as an opportunity to showcase Egypt to a global audience. Music tourism continues to grow around the world, with many travellers now planning trips around major festivals and live events. By combining a globally recognised festival brand with one of the most famous landmarks on the planet, Starlight aims to attract visitors from different countries while creating new opportunities for cultural exchange between the Middle East and Europe.

The main Starlight Festival events are scheduled for October 9 and 10, with opening and closing celebrations taking place at selected venues across Cairo. With internationally known artists, immersive experiences and a location that needs little introduction, the festival is already generating interest among electronic music fans. Tickets and additional information are available through the official website at https://starlight-festival.org.
