Summer Well opens its 15th edition: A summer story begins at Știrbey Domain

The gates of Summer Well officially opened today for the festival’s milestone 15th edition, welcoming tens of thousands of music lovers back to the picturesque Știrbey Domain in Buftea. For the next three days, one of Romania’s most beloved festivals once again transforms the historic estate into a meeting place for music, creativity and unforgettable summer memories.

Although temperatures climbed well high during the afternoon, the heat did little to slow down the excitement. Beneath the centuries-old trees of the estate, festival-goers found shade, refreshing drinks and the laid-back atmosphere that has made Summer Well feel more like a summer escape than a traditional music festival.

The musical journey began with Vicky Sometani, who had the honor of opening the Orange Main Stage. The warm and intimate performance welcomed early arrivals, setting a relaxed tone as the first crowds settled into the beautiful surroundings of Știrbey Domain.

The energy quickly shifted as DE’WAYNE took over the main stage with a magnetic performance full of charisma, powerful vocals and rock’n’roll attitude, proving why he remains one of the most exciting live performers on today’s alternative scene. Charlotte Cardin followed with an emotional and elegant set, captivating the audience with her distinctive voice and heartfelt songwriting, before Two Feet brought the opening day to a memorable close, with a special guest Michele Morrone, blending blues, alternative rock and electronic influences into a dark, atmospheric performance.

Meanwhile, the Sunset Stage offered a different kind of escape. Luana Genevieve and Bianca Oance warmed up the crowd before Italian duo Nu Genea transformed the area into one of the festival’s biggest dance floors, delivering an irresistible mix of disco, funk and Mediterranean grooves that kept festival-goers dancing well into the night.

As the sun disappeared behind the trees and golden hour bathed the estate in warm light, Summer Well truly came alive. Friends gathered on the grass, visitors explored the art installations and food areas, while thousands wandered between stages, embracing the relaxed rhythm that has become the festival’s signature over the past fifteen editions.

More than just the beginning of another festival weekend, Day One marked the start of a special anniversary celebration. Fifteen editions later, Summer Well continues to prove that its magic isn’t created solely by the artists on stage, but by the atmosphere, the people and the feeling that, for one weekend every August, Știrbey Domain becomes the setting for the perfect summer story.

And if the opening day is any indication, the 15th edition is already shaping up to be another unforgettable chapter in Summer Well’s story.
