Creamfields 2027 has its first headliner, and it is The Prodigy. The band will return to the festival on Saturday, 28 August, taking over the APEX stage during the August Bank Holiday weekend in Daresbury, Cheshire. It has been 14 years since their last Creamfields performance in 2013, so their return is likely to be one of the big moments of the 2027 edition.

The Prodigy have been a huge part of electronic music for decades, with Liam and Maxim continuing to lead the live show alongside Leo Crabtree on drums and Rob Holliday on guitar. Their performances are known for plenty of energy, heavy bass and large visuals. The band first came through the UK rave scene before building a sound that brought electronic music, rave and punk together.

The announcement also lines up with another important anniversary for the group. 2027 marks 30 years since The Fat of the Land was released. The multi-platinum album includes some of The Prodigy’s best-known tracks, including Firestarter, Breathe and Out of Space. With the album reaching the same milestone as Creamfields, their booking feels like a fitting choice for the festival’s 30th birthday.

Creamfields 2027 will run from Thursday, 26 August to Sunday, 29 August at Daresbury, Cheshire. The festival has come a long way since starting in Winchester in 1998 and will spend its 30th anniversary weekend celebrating the artists and fans who have shaped its history.
