Considered to be one of the pioneers of hip-hop DJing, Flash has won a number of awards for his work, including “VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Icon Award” from BET in honor of his contribution to hip-hop as a DJ, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the RIAA and the Bill Gates Vanguard Award.He was going to make his way to India for the very first time and now his performance has been cancelled due to medical issues faced by the legend , this is so disappointing  !


Grandmaster Flash is one of the most important figures in hip-hop. He began his career in the 1970s as one of the Bronx’s trinity of powerful and influential DJs along with Kool Herc and Afrika Bambaataa. He spun that into a period as one of the then-nascent genre’s earliest recording stars as a member of Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five.
