The beloved City of Dreams returns this year with popular new features in its development that were initiated last year, including the Upper Westside and the Theatre District. The gigantic Mainstage will shine in a completely new design that will remain Top Secret until the site opens on the festival.
The first of these highlights is a surprise awaiting the campsite Citizens on Thursday’s massive preopening with 45,000 people in attendance. In place of the Desert Valley Stage, campers will discover a very special Memory Stage which is set first and foremost to delight PAROOKAVILLE Citizens from over the past years. The Memory Stage will host performances over the weekend from top quality acts including James Hype, W&W,Holy Priest, Indira Paganotto, Fatima Hajji, Meduza, Topic and many more.
Following a great eight-year run, the popular “Bill’s Factory” enjoyed a celebratory send-off last year. The second-largest open-air stage at the City of Dreams provided audience space for up to 20,000 Citizens. Guests this year will see the brand-new stage on the festival Friday and the “New Bill’s Factory” will host a one-of-a-kind opening ceremony as darkness falls. Over the weekend headliners such as Felix Jaehn, KSHMR (live) and MEUTE will give the stage debut inauguration it so richly deserves.
The PAROOKAVILLE Mainstage, featuring a new design each year, has been THE hotspot for electronic music’s global stars since its premiere in 2015. The festival’s Saturday nights have traditionally witnessed Citizens gathering before the Mainstage to celebrate the “Parookaville Ceremony” together. This annual highlight comes under the moniker “Grand Parookaville Ceremony” this year, and special anniversary elements are set to make it an even more emotional experience.
Sunday evening at PAROOKAVILLE will host the grand finale of this big anniversary weekend with an outstanding programme in store for attendees. When the night reaches its highpoint, a uniquely staged “10 Years Anniversary Closing Ceremony” will kick off. One breathtaking part of the festivities includes the very special largest festival drone show of the year, coordinated and choreographed with lights, lasers, fireworks.
