Gorillaz are finally making their way to India. The band’s first-ever India shows were announced earlier this year with dates in Bengaluru and Mumbai, and Guwahati has now been added to the run. That means fans will get three chances to see Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s virtual band when The Mountain Tour arrives in the country next January. The shows are scheduled for January 23 in Bengaluru, January 27 in Mumbai and January 31 in Guwahati.

A big part of the excitement around the tour is the connection between Gorillaz and India on The Mountain. The band’s ninth studio album, released in February 2026, features a number of Indian musicians, including Asha Bhosle, Anoushka Shankar, Ajay Prasanna, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash. Albarn and Hewlett have also talked about wanting to bring Gorillaz to India, so the upcoming shows have been a long time coming. Now, music from The Mountain will be heard live here, alongside the wider Gorillaz catalogue that fans have known for years.
The tour starts at District Arena @ Terraform in Bengaluru on January 23, before moving to Jio World Garden in BKC, Mumbai, on January 27. Guwahati gets the final announced date on January 31 at the Sarusajai Sports Complex (Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium). The Guwahati addition is also a first for the tour in the Northeast and is being organised in collaboration with Assam Tourism. For fans in the region, that makes this more than just another stop on an international tour.
Tickets for the three-city India tour will be sold exclusively through the District app. Fans can check the Gorillaz The Mountain Tour 2027 ticket page on District for booking information. When Gorillaz arrive in January, Albarn will be joined by the live band and special guest performers. It will be the first time the full Gorillaz live experience comes to India, with Bengaluru, Mumbai and Guwahati all on the schedule.
