Ultra Music Festival Miami has been setting benchmarks since it first came to light 20 years back . Each and every year they keep improving , be it their lineups , stages , production . Whole 3 day experience of this festival is totally out of the world .
Their 2018 edition is going to be no different as recently they officially disclosed their phase 1 lineup and it’s full of dance music legends featuring everyone from Armin Van Buuren to The Chainsmokers . Since it’s the 20th year of ultra , fans are expecting some surprises and why shouldn’t they !
ULTRA 2018 phase 1 lineup :
Well , Ultra Co founder and CEO and talent buyer for RESISTANCE , Russel Faibisch finally said what all fans wanted to hear . He was recently named Magnetic Magazine’s Industry Person of the year in 2017 . In an exclusive interview after receiving this honour , he was asked straight away if we can expect any special surprises this year at ultra . To which he answered ..
“Yes, something very big is in the works! Every year we pride ourselves on delivering for our fans special unannounced performances and surprises. But for the big 20th Anniversary, we knew we had to deliver something huge. Something unique that can only be seen at Ultra. It is completely under wraps. The only thing I can say is to Expect The Unexpected.”
We don’t know who it’s gonna be , but fans sure do expect the mighty Swedish House Mafia Reunion , Because that’s what seem to happen . We can expect surprises like Avicii or maybe even Daft Punk , but at this moment Swedish House Mafia Comeback makes the most sense . The special performance is not going to be announced before hand and we may have to wait till the very last . Once the schedule’s come out , we can be sure . As we don’t know if Axwell/\Ingrosso get the honour of closing the festival . All the sources point towards their reunion but their long time manager Amy Thomson declines all the rumours and says “ Even if there was , it’s ridiculously private “ . Let’s see what happens ..
