Remember 2016?? When German Trance legend Paul van Dyk had fatal fall during his set at A State of Trance 750 in Utrecht ??
Well that fall was more lethal and fatal than we could ever imagine, resulting in 3 months of recovery from spinal and brain injuries but it lasted for more than a year to get him fully recovered, its his strength and Lord’s blessings that he is alive and bracing us again with what he likes the most, the love and passion for Trance.
After almost 3 years, DJ has been granted more than 12 million dollars by the court for medical bills, past and future lost profits.
In the hearing, it was mentioned, ALDA did not design the stage to be safe to stand on and admitted the front area wasn’t safe and gave no warning to the artist.
The $12 million award included $2 million for future medical expenses, $1.2 million for lost profits (2016/2017) and $2.475 million for losses in the next 10 years and also awarded him an extra $5.5 million for other damages.
And as you already know, Mr van Dyk released statement last year about cutting ties with A State of Trance festival as no one from the festival asked him about his health after the accident.
