After over 2 years of touring his widely acclaimed and successful second album ‘Skin‘, Flume is making his return to the world of electronic music with new material. The Australian producer surprised everyone in March by dropping a 16-track mixtape titled ‘Hi This Is Flume‘ and followed it up with a single called ‘Friends‘. Flume, real name Harley Streten, has unleashed another gem in the form of a new song ‘Let You Know’ in collaboration with indie-pop band London Grammar. Interestingly, ‘Let You Know’ also marks the UK based band’s first release since their 2017 album ‘Truth Is A Beautiful Thing‘.

The Grammy-winning producer is often hailed as the finest innovative electronic music producer. Though the sound design on ‘Let You Know’ isn’t as intricate as it is in ‘Hi This Is Flume’, he does flex his musical genius with complex melodies and glitchy beats. Flume’s subtle production perfectly complements Hannah Reid’s heavenly exquisite and melancholic vocals.

On the release of the song, Flume and Hannah revealed that they both were fans of each other’s music and wanted to collaborate for years. Flume stated :

“Hannah and I wrote Let You Know last summer. I was on a writing trip to London, was actually the same trip where I first met slowthai. I have wanted to make something with Hannah for a long time and this one just came together really naturally in the studio that day.”

Hannah Reid echoes him by saying:

“We’ve been trying to work together for years but it just never worked out with our schedules but I’m so glad it finally did. Working with Harley was an honour because he pushes the boundaries of electronic music like nobody else. He’s the kind of electronic artist who will be around forever.”

Along with the new release, Flume has announced the dates for his UK + Europe tour this year. With many speculating another mixtape due for release in the coming months, 2019 is turning out to be a blessing for Flume’s fans.
