ReauBeau’s sonic journey started at the very roots of his present future bass undertakings. Due to a strong love for hip-hop during his formative years, his passion spurred into the restless fiddling and fine-tuning art of conveying finer (and often ineffable) emotions through the craft of composition. In 2019, ReauBeau has notably expanded his musical journey and reached his fans with releases on labels like Riotville Records and Hardwell’s Gemstone Records, followed by a guest mix at Benzi’s radio show, as well as his latest tracks ‘Higher’ and ‘Earthquake’ on Circus Records.

Completing a hat trick of singles on Circus Records, ReauBeau is taking flight, teams up with Julian Calor for an eclectic collaboration ‘Wings’ feat. Liss. Gently winding his music box, he produces tactile plucks and delicate melodies, as well as unleashing rapturous bass and siren synths.

With a lot of amazing tunes which have a versatile blend of future bass and trap, ReauBeau carved a niche for himself in the scene.

We got an amazing opportunity to chat with the one and only Rob Jager better known by his stage name  “ReauBeau”, check it out below:

1. Hello Rob, how you doing? How was the first half of 2019 for you?

Rob: Hey guys! I am doing really good! I got some time working on music in the studio again, so always love that ☺ The first half of this year has been amazing! Did the music for two big game trailers (Apex Legends as well as Need for Speed Heat). I also released a lot of new music on exciting labels and shot my first music video in LA.

2. Can you share the process behind “WINGS’ & the experience of working with Julian Calor & Liss.

Rob: Julian and I were in the studio one day and I remembered getting some amazing vocals by Liss a few months back. We started working on it and I think the whole structure was pretty much done within one day.

3. Growing up which acts influenced and how they motivated you to get into producing your own stuff?
Rob: I always liked the rebel type of music ( NOFX / Rage against the machine / Prodigy / M.O.P ). Stuff like that always gives me adrenaline by listening to it. But what I loved the most about it is that they just did their own unique thing, not copying other acts but staying true to themselves.

4. If you had to collaborate with any of the top guns of the hip-hop scene, who it would be and why?
Rob: I have my list haha. I would love to work with the old guys: Busta Rhymes (when you read this send me a dm man! ) KAYTRANADA, would be dope. I love his full productions. Kanye West obviously, although he is weird, he is an incredible producer. I would also love to collaborate with Pharrell and Timbaland so who knows haha.

5. Tell us the top 5 tracks on your playlist right now.
Rob:

1 Khalid – Talk (Stuck in my head for weeks unbelievable tune)

2 ford. – Dusk ( The vibe of this is amazing. Like I’m walking through a movie like NY on a rainy day)

3 Mac Miller – 2019 ( RIP Mac. Love this tune. Lyrics, beat – everything about it. Also most real track out there)

4 Xzibit – Elevator ( Wasn’t expecting this, but this tune is FIRE. Old west coast vibe but better production )

5 Benny Sings – Not Enough ( unreal tune )

6. What’s the best thing about producing music according to you?
Rob: Creating something totally new from scratch and the headknodding when you made something cool is the best feeling in the world! I get to meet so many amazing people around the world as well.

7. What is your piece of advice to the aspiring DJ/Producers?
Stop slacking. But seriously haha. Be a pro and eager. Work hard and do not get stuck in one genre. Also, think about your 30-year plan instead of 5. One other important thing: Be yourself, experiment, make mistakes, have fun. And don’t sit on too much music.

8.Any special message to your fans in India?
Rob: I heard so many good things about India! I would really love to go there and play my music for you guys!!! You also have some great producers over there ( like Heuse and 32Stitches <3 )
