The sophomore edition of Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Festival is all set to kick off this weekend. The two day festival held at Amsterdam’s NSDM will host some of the brightest acts the contemporary techno scene has to offer. Spanning across 4 stages, techno stalwarts Joris Voorn, Amelie Lens, Charlotte De Witte, Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Dubfire, Bart Skils will be thrilling the crowds with exhilarating techno tunes.

If this collosal lineup, unique festival venue and 6 special B2Bs weren’t enough, now we have another reason to love Drumcode Festival. Legendary DJ Adam Beyer has just announced that he will be lending a helping hand to the tragedy of ongoing fire in Amazon Rainforest at this year’s festival. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past week, you must have heard the news of Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest – the lungs which produce 20% of our planet’s oxygen – burning at record rate. While many celebrities and influential figures across the world have used their respective platforms to raise awareness on the issue, Adam Beyer has taken one step further by opening donations at the festival site to raise money for a charity called Greenspace.

Beyer’s wife and a renowned DJ in her own right, Ida Engberg, also took action by raising over €10000 in less than 24 hours for Amazonwatch.com which supports indigenous people of Amazon to protect their rights. Drumcode Festival is also aiming to give something back to the local Amsterdam community around NSDM site through ‘Fonds of the North’ charity.
