Artists making their debut in Romania and the Romanian audience on the Banffy pitch on Day 2 of Electric Castle 2023 fell in love at first sight.
The highest standards were easily surpassed by Macklemore. The Grammy-winning musician arrived in Romania on Tuesday and quickly proclaimed himself “conquered” by the country’s people, cuisine, and general vibe. You can never have a bad time in Cluj! Artist at the end of his two-hour set: “I bought this one, and you’ll see me with it three years from now; Electric Castle is my favourite festival this summer!”


Fifty thousand festivalgoers decided to stay up all night dancing to the upbeat vibes generated by George Ezra, the fanfare rhythms imposed by Meute, or the little Asian hurricane sparked by The HU.
Iggy Pop, the “punk stylist,” is honoured on the third day of the festival. Pop has won a Grammy for his whole career, and he and The Stooges are both inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The legendary performer, who has influenced many people, has a new record out and is promising a spectacular performance.
Tash Sultana, an Australian artist who became famous for her rock style with reggae influences and RnB, and Coma, the most beloved Romanian band by fans of Electric Castle, will join Pendulum, a drum and bass band founded more than 20 years ago and known for their distinctive sound, which blends hard rock with electronic music, on the main stage.
