When we think of Trance music, one name definitely echoes: Paul van Dyk, true legend and pioneer of electronic music, he is one of the initial Trance flagbearers of early days to now what we call as Trance, shaping of Trance as a genre he is definitely a big contributor helped building it. With a career spanning over three decades, countless awards, and loyal fans, Paul van Dyk remains one of the most influential figures in the history of dance music.

Just before his set at Transmission Festival’s 2025 edition in Arnhem, Netherlands we got chance to sit down with him in person for a quick chat where he opens up about his brand new album, compilation series The Politics of Dancing, Trance vs Techno and a lot more.
