The sold-out Road To Ultra show in Melbourne last year was the perfect warmup for the world’s #1 Electronic Music Festival Brand to make its debut in Australia. It has been a number of years since an electronic music festival of this size and caliber has been thrown and boy has the wait been worth it. Premiering at Flemington Racecourse, Ultra delivered the goods with Melbourne’s summer weather turning up the speed dial for a glorious day and night!!
The line up featured some of the world’s biggest names in EDM with Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Illenium as well as The Resistance Stage with Adam Beyer, Joris Voorn and Dubfire B2B Nicole Moudaber bringing in some cool techno. It also was supported by a huge talented local cast, outlining the quality we have in Australia with names such as Will Sparks, Joel Fletcher, Tigerlily, Brooklyn, Orkestrated and longtime Melbourne legends in the Hard Dance Scene – Scott Alert, Dean Dee and Soul-T.
Ultra arrived and delivered on its expectations. From the massive Mainstage structure (straight from Miami it seems), the production, music and all-around good vibes of the event for the tens of thousands of people in attendance, it was a highly successful launch firmly establishing Ultra as the new premier electronic music festival in Australia for years to come!!
Expect an even bigger event in 2020, this is only the beginning!
